Disney Cruise Craft: Mickey Mouse Hands

Did I mention Irene and I started this project the night before we left for the cruise?!?

This is a left hand.

This was a fast and dirty job.  Trace, cut with a generous seam allowance.
Sew on the lines.

IMG_2039
Only sew on the trace lines.  Leave the wrist part unsewn.

IMG_2040
Turn glove inside out.
The next step is the tricky part:

Sew along the remaining wrist sections.
Fold wrist section up.  And you should get something which looks like this:

The pattern for the left and right hand side are the same.  Just put the black felt pieces on the appropriate side.

There were 18 people in our Disney Cruise Group.
DID I MENTION IRENE AND I STARTED THIS PROJECT THE NIGHT BEFORE WE LEFT?!?

Update:
Here is a scan of the pattern Irene made.  Print on 8.5x11 paper and tape together at dotted line A.

IMG_2038

Irene T. had the brilliant idea we needed to craft some costuming the NIGHT before we left for the Disney Cruise.

For Pirate Night we made hooks.

Ingredients:

Purple felt
cardboard
silver adhesive (although we could have used aluminum foil)
hot glue

Cards made with felt scraps

I had a bunch of felt scraps (e.g. 1" x 2" pieces).  With my trusty old red sizzix, I die cut lots of flowers and here's what I did with them.
