Who knew that you could depict the Parting of the Red Sea as a Grand Prix Car?
See they're leaving the land of pyramids and palm trees and are heading to a land of milk (carton) and honey.
Kid1 used sandpaper to emulate the sandy land. The water is glitter glue with ocean animal confetti. Here's a note: it takes about 2 weeks to dry glitter glue.
Not sure what the kid1 won. It was definitely a design award. We never win speed awards.
How did you create the water?
ReplyDeleteIt's a lot of glitter glue squeezed out onto scrap plastic and then allowed to dry (it took a looong time). Then it was cut to size.
DeleteIf we had to do it again, I would recommend printing onto inkjet/laserjet transparency (with cute fish and marine plant graphics. Then cut to the appropriate shape.
Good luck! Let me know if you make faux water!
