Project Linus Flannel Hooded Blankets

I think the Disney Give A Day, Get A Day campaign is a conspiracy of some sort.  That said, I signed up the family to make blankets for Project Linus.  We made double-sided flannel receiving blankets with a hood.     Laura R. showed me one she made and it was so cute.

The two pieces of flannel are serged on the edges.  I learned that if you do bad fabric cutting and then serge, things fall apart.  Thanks Faye for helping me fix that mess!

Computer Password Books
Yes, I know you're never supposed to write all your passwords down and leave it in a conspicuous place.  But really now, we all do, right?  This is a way to keep it all organized.  The back section contains ruled pages for other random notes.

The Craftlode

Pin It Welcome to the Craftlode

Craft: v. to make or manufacture (an object, objects, product, etc.) with skill and careful attention to detail.
Lode: n. an ample supply or source.

Some of these are ideas from very creative people, some of these are mine.  Mainly, this is here to remind of of what I've made.

I have a couple of different crafts that I enjoy.
Papercrafting -- scrapbook, cardmaking, journals, notebooks
Yarncrafting -- crochet, amingurumi, knitting (would like to get better at)
Plastic-crafting -- shrinky-dinks (I haven't really started, but I'm going to)
Upcycling (the practice of taking something that is disposable or downcycled and transforming it into something of greater use and value. This process allows for the reduction of waste and virgin material use, or less strain on resources for melting scrap metal.)
